For my January stamp class this month I wanted to showcase the beautiful and fun new Gold Gilded Leafing. One of my amazing team members was curious to try our embossing paste so I mashed up several different cards and came up with this design.
The background was made by cutting out a background die from the Potted Succulent set using our Thick White Cardstock. I then taped that to a piece of Basic White cardstock using some washi tape on the very edges. Next I spread embossing paste over top of the die cutout, making sure to get a full coverage but not making it super thick. If you have ever iced an cake then this is just like that.
I set the background aside to dry and stamped the flower. I used heat and stick powder to adhere the gilded leafing. I used dies to cut out the flower and sentiment. Once the background was dry I trimmed it down to 3 3/4" x 5". I then took a few drops of Pool Party ink into a spritzer filled with rubbing alcohol and spritzed the background t give it just a touch of color. I used dimensionals to layer everything and bring it together.
Here's a video tutorial on how to make it.
I like the way it all came together. This card is so versatile and can be used for different occasions.
Let me know what you think. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
Happy Stamping!
